Job Description – Night Shift Warehouse Manager

Hours: Monday–Friday, 20:00–05:00

Role Overview-

OToole Transport are seeking an experienced Night Shift Warehouse Manager to lead our night operations in a high-volume chilled environment. This person will be responsible for managing the warehouse team, ensuring all chilled products are handled correctly, and driving operational efficiency to meet strict turnaround times and delivery schedules. The successful candidate must be a strong people leader with hands-on experience in chilled warehousing and proven ability to implement systems and processes.

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee all night shift activities, ensuring efficient loading, unloading, scanning, and handling of chilled products.
• Ensure strict adherence to product temperature requirements and food safety standards.
• Manage quick turnaround times to ensure all deliveries are completed on schedule.
• Oversee trailer/bay allocation in coordination with night transport staff.
• Ensure pallet accuracy, stock integrity, and proper documentation.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the night shift warehouse team.
• Ensure staffing levels meet operational requirements.
• Promote a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Train and support staff in correct scanning procedures to ensure full compliance.
• Troubleshoot scanning or system issues and escalate where required.
• Ensure all processes comply with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety requirements.
• Conduct nightly checks on temperatures, hygiene, and equipment.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a chilled warehouse environment.
• Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Strong knowledge of chilled product handling and food safety.
• Experience implementing or working with warehouse scanning systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• IT-literate (scanning technology, warehouse systems, email/PC use).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €50,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
