Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to keep all areas spotless.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a professional appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
• Handle custodial responsibilities for common areas, conference rooms, kitchens, and hallways with efficiency and care.
• Use commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to facilities management.
• Support industrial or specialized cleaning projects when required, including high-touch surfaces and hard-to-reach areas.

Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and carpet extraction is highly desirable.
• Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and equipment operation is essential.
• Prior porter experience or background in maintenance roles demonstrates reliability and versatility in custodial duties.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
