Job Title: Bilingual English Language Tutor for School Staff

Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional, engaging, and self-directed Bilingual English Language Tutor to provide on-site English instruction for native Spanish-speaking school staff members. This is a part-time position offering 1 hour per week, with the possibility of increasing to up to 2 hours per week depending on group size, staff needs, and availability.

The ideal candidate is experienced in adult education and is confident designing and delivering a practical, goal-oriented curriculum focused on workplace communication and fluency in English.

Preferred schedule: Wednesday evenings from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, school staff is open to Saturday mornings, as well.

Key Responsibilities: Provide in-person English tutoring for adult school staff whose primary language is Spanish.

Develop and lead instruction covering key focus areas:

• Speaking and listening
• Reading and writing
• Pronunciation
• Grammar
• Conversational fluency

Tailor content to support communication in a school setting and meet the varied proficiency levels of participants.

• Foster a culturally respectful and supportive learning environment.
• Submit a proposed curriculum prior to the start of contract.
• Bring all necessary materials and teaching resources.
• Maintain clear communication with Brain Gains Therapy Solutions regarding attendance, engagement, and feedback.
• Maintain attendance records to share with Staff.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Experience teaching English to adult learners in bilingual or workplace environments.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, culturally sensitive, and self-directed.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• TESOL/TEFL certification or equivalent training in ESL/ELL instruction.
• Experience in school, nonprofit, or adult learning environments.

Schedule & Commitment:

• Minimum of 1 hour per week, with potential to increase to 2 hours per week.
• Preferred time: Wednesdays from 5:00–6:00 PM (flexibility available if needed).

Compensation:
$40 to $50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
