Due to continued growth Laharts are looking to recruit a Workshop Controller to join our Volkswagen & Skoda Aftersales team in Kilkenny.
Manage and develop the Workshop, provide technical support to staff and customers. Ensure that maximum utilisation and quality is achieved from the workshop and customer satisfaction is achieved. Ensure that repairs and services to vehicles are carried out efficiently and to the highest possible standard. Assist the administration department to ensure all tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring all jobs are completed within time frames.
- Ensure all work is carried out to highest quality standards and that customer requirements are met.
- Monitor the performance of the team, providing guidance and support when needed.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the workshop.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve performance and customer service.
- Monitor the progress of all jobs and ensure that they are completed within the time frames.
- Analyse customer feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all members of the team are adequately trained.
- Liaise with Parts dept to ensure that all parts are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all vehicles are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
Technical Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the motor industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks.
- Good problem-solving and organisational skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- A good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Good IT skills.
- A full clean EU driving license.
