Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for toddlers to explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and development in our youngest learners. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and independence
- Monitor children’s behavior and provide gentle guidance to encourage positive interactions and behavior management
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Help with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving routines in accordance with licensing standards
- Collaborate with team members to communicate children's progress and any concerns related to development or well-being
- Support inclusive practices by working effectively with children with disabilities or special needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is strongly recommended; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a flexible and energetic approach
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff
