Young Toddler Teacher Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for toddlers to explore, learn, and grow. Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers
• Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and independence
• Monitor children’s behavior and provide gentle guidance to encourage positive interactions and behavior management
• Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
• Help with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving routines in accordance with licensing standards
• Collaborate with team members to communicate children's progress and any concerns related to development or well-being
• Support inclusive practices by working effectively with children with disabilities or special needs

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification or training in first aid and CPR is strongly recommended; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a flexible and energetic approach
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
