Assistant Wholesale Planner

Job Summary:

The Assistant Wholesale Planner is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational support of the wholesale business. This role ensures sales order accuracy, shipment tracking, and timely communication with distribution centers and wholesale partners. Working closely with the Senior Wholesale Inventory Planner, this position supports process execution, reporting, and partner coordination to maintain operational excellence.

Reporting:

  • Prepares and maintains weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and inventory reports for internal reviews.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and supports the Senior Wholesale Inventory Planner with custom data pulls or reporting templates as needed.
  • Process Documentation: Maintains wholesale SOPs and workflows.
  • Analyze historical data and pre- and in-season business trends to support accurate forecasting.
  • Monitor inventory levels to support brand strategy, minimize stock and ensure optimal in-stock rates for core products and seasonal launches.

Supporting Function:

  • Buy Request Execution: Processes confirmed buys and works with Order Management to ensure timely PO and shipment flow, supporting alignment with forecasted plans.
  • Sales Order Management: Accurately creates and updates wholesale sales orders in NetSuite to reflect planning decisions.
  • Communication: Liaise with Distribution Centers (DC) and external partners regarding Purchase Order (PO) issues, ensuring clear communication and timely solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues arising within the wholesale processes, escalating insights that may impact planning accuracy.

Skills required:

  • Analytics or related field preferred, experience handling large data sets
  • Proficiency in Excel, Experience with data/reporting tools (PBI or others is a plus)
  • Direct experience in NetSuite to support daily tasks preferred but not required.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Quick thinking and initiative-taking in resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Diligence: Accuracy in handling PO entries and updating logs.
  • Initiative-taker: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks efficiently without constant supervision.

Qualifications :

  • Candidate must possess a tertiary qualification with 2-3 years of Supply Chain Management, Order Management and/or Customer Service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Access is an advantage

  • Proficiency in PowerBI is preferred.

  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with strong follow through

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skill
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced, collaborative environment
