Claims and Contract Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for claims and disputes.
  • Conduct forensic analysis and evaluation of claims, including contractual and legal entitlements.
  • Investigate project-level disputes, collate relevant documentation, and assess the validity of claims.
  • Prepare strategies for resolving claims, including defenses and counter-claims.

Contract Management:

  • Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and identify potential risks.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any deviations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts and agreements.

Dispute Resolution:

  • Lead and manage the dispute resolution process, including arbitration or litigation if necessary.
  • Advise on contractual and legal strategies for resolving conflicts.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to mitigate risks and resolve disputes efficiently.

Delay Analysis and Forensic Planning:

  • Conduct delay analysis to evaluate project schedules and time-related claims.
  • Assess construction programs to determine entitlements and resolve time-related disputes.
  • Provide recommendations for project recovery strategies.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, legal advisors, and external consultants to address claims and disputes.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and senior management on the status of claims and contracts.

Risk Mitigation:

  • Identify potential contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement best practices for claims and contract management.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in claims and contract management within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industry.
  • Proven track record in handling claims, disputes, and contract administration.e.
