Cleaner/Janitor (Part Time)

Job Overview
We are seeking a part time dedicated and detail-oriented cleaner for 5hr shifts on the following days: Saturday nightshift and Wednesday dayshift. (10hrs total per week) Cleaning hours can take place between 8pm - 5am on nights and 6am - 5pm on days. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the facility, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial space.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including trash take out, sweeping, mopping, dusting, rest room cleaning, and vacuuming to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing to maintain the appearance of floors.
• Carry out custodial duties in various settings including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks in designated areas while adhering to safety protocols.
• Support porter duties by setting up or rearranging furniture for events or meetings as required.
• Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report any needs for replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all cleaning activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment is beneficial.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must pass a back ground check
• Must have reliable means of transportation and valid drivers license
