Job Description
Communications Intern, National Careers Team
Remote
Part Time/ Full-Time
This full-time paid Internship is with the Careers team to manage the communications for our stakeholders for multiple interventions designed by the Careers Team. This includes designing captivating creatives for our spaces conducted for Fellow & Alumni Readiness and External Career Fair. The Fair is an opportunity for our graduating cohort to apply to organizations in the education sector to work towards inequity. They would be required to work on outreach samples to onboard Alumni on our newest alum management platform. The scope of the intern's work also includes conducting secondary research on industry trends and compiling reports for our wider alum community. The duration of the Internship will be two months.
Team Overview
The Careers Team is a newly formed vertical catering to 4100+ Alumni. As Teach For India moves into its next strategic phase, this team plays a crucial role in matching the Alumni of our programs at an intersection of their interests and the needs of the system and our children. The overarching charge of this team is to foster lifelong connections through platforms, events, strategic partnerships and more to fuel ongoing interest and visibility into opportunities for individuals to engage with careers enabling educational equity in India.
Responsibilities
- Design creatives and communications templates for Career Readiness sessions.
- Assist in executing social media campaigns for our partner organisations, Alumni & Fellows.
- Support the team in creating outreach samples for the External Career Fair.
- Aid the team in outreach to onboard Alumni in the new platform.
- Provide support in conducting secondary research of specific projects geared towards our Alumni community and compile reports.
Competencies and Abilities
- Prior experience designing posters and creative outreach materials through Canva, slides, etc., is essential.
- Ability to conduct secondary research and compile reports in a concise manner
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Rigour and attention to detail
- Time management and flexibility to accommodate multiple projects simultaneously
