Job Description: Marine Systems & Sustainability Programmes Facilitator (Freelance)
Company Overview
The Narrative Nest Singapore designs and delivers contemporary education programmes for schools and youth organisations.
Under our Marine Systems & Sustainability programmes, we use ocean and environmental contexts to develop students’ ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and make informed decisions about real-world issues.
Our workshops are not content-heavy marine science lessons. Instead, they are structured, discussion-driven sessions where marine topics such as coastal ecosystems, pollution, food systems, and maritime activity are used as applied contexts for learning.
Students engage in guided activities, group discussions, and decision-making tasks that build confidence, self-awareness, and the ability to express and justify their ideas.
Our programmes may explore areas such as:
- Coastal and marine ecosystems in urban environments
- Human impact on oceans, including pollution and resource use
- Food systems, aquaculture, and sustainability trade-offs
- Maritime activity, trade, and environmental considerations
- Interpreting information and making decisions in complex, real-world scenarios
We work primarily with upper primary, secondary, and youth audiences, delivering learning experiences that are structured, engaging, and grounded in real-world relevance.
