Job Overview
We are hiring compassionate and reliable NEMT Drivers. As part of our team, you will provide safe, comfortable transportation for elderly, disabled, or medically fragile individuals to medical appointments and essential destinations. Your role is to ensure their well-being and comfort throughout the ride, maintaining professionalism and high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Safe Transportation: Safely transport clients to medical appointments and other destinations, adhering to traffic laws and ensuring passenger safety.
- Client Assistance: Provide courteous support while helping passengers board, exit, and remain comfortably secured during transit.
- Care and Comfort: Utilize CNA skills to assist with mobility, transfers, and ensure client comfort throughout the trip.
- Communication & Coordination: Maintain clear communication with clients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and address care needs.
- Vehicle Care: Perform routine vehicle checks, report issues, and follow maintenance procedures to ensure proper functioning.
- Accurate Records: Keep detailed logs of trips, mileage, and required documentation per company policies.
- Confidentiality: Uphold privacy standards by protecting client information.
- Emergency Preparedness: Handle any emergencies according to company protocols and promptly notify emergency services when necessary.
- Punctuality & Time Management: Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while accommodating potential delays.
- Professionalism: Provide friendly, professional service, ensuring a positive experience for clients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Driver’s License: Clean, valid driver’s license with a strong driving record.
- Compassion: Strong empathy, patience, and understanding when working with elderly or medically fragile clients.
- Dependability: Consistent punctuality and reliability to provide timely transportation services.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with clients, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Physical Ability: Physical strength and stamina to assist with mobility and client transfers.
- Background Clearance: Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Working Conditions:
This role involves driving and assisting clients, which may require extended sitting and physical tasks such as helping clients with mobility and transfers. You will work in various weather conditions and may have irregular hours to accommodate client needs. As a CNA NEMT Driver, your role is essential in providing reliable transportation for individuals needing access to medical care.

Experience:
- 5 years of driving experience (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- Ambulance Driver's License (Preferred)
Shift Availability:
- Day Shift (Required)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
- Overnight Shift (Preferred)
Location Requirements:
- Must be able to commute to Santa Clara, CA (Required)
- Must relocate to Santa Clara, CA prior to starting (Required)
Work Location: Primarily on the road
