THE POSITION
The Guest Operations Stadium Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of seamless V/VIP guest services and operations within the stadiums for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, in close collaboration with FIFA Zurich, internal FIFA27 teams, and external stakeholders. The role acts as the primary point of reference for all stadium guest operations, ensuring efficient planning, staff readiness, and high-quality service delivery during match operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of V/VIP services and guest operations across assigned stadiums.
- Establish, manage, and coordinate stadium-level Guest Operations teams, ensuring clear task allocation in line with the event scope.
- Support the Guest Operations Senior Manager in the development and implementation of Concepts of Operations, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate guest management policies, stadium operational plans, and updates to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure management of V/ VIP Guests (local & international) is according to agreed operational plans.
- Ensure agreed service levels are consistently delivered in collaboration with internal departments, service providers, and partners.
- Work in close collaboration with the Guest Experience Manager on the planning and delivery of V/VIP catering services and lounge experience within the stadium environment.
- Develop, monitor, and manage key milestones, activity schedules, and workflows, ensuring clear prioritisation and timely delivery.
- Contribute to budget planning and support the monitoring and review of stadium guest operations expenditures.
- Plan and deliver stadium-specific V/VIP operations training for Guest Operations Stadium staff, volunteers, hosts, and hostesses.
YOUR PROFILE
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered an asset.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Guest Operations, Event Services, Protocol, or Hospitality operations within major events, preferably international sports events.
- Proven experience in stadium or venue-based operations, including V/VIP services and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, coordination, and operational delivery.
- Experience working with multiple service providers and cross-functional teams in complex operational settings.
- Experience in budget planning, cost monitoring, and financial tracking is desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence and deliver high-quality guest services through structured processes and teamwork.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
- High level of attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and sound judgement under pressure.
- Good understanding of organisational processes, governance, and operational policies.
- Solid financial awareness, including budget management and cost control.
Certifications & Requirements
- Project Management certification or equivalent experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days, as required by the tournament schedule.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
