Technical Product Manager - Hardware

About us

Soundtrack is a B2B scale-up company providing music streaming services for businesses. We serve small customers like the café around the corner, and much bigger brands like Joe & the Juice, Toni & Guy and TAG Heuer. On the inside, we're a bunch of talented, motivated and humble designers, engineers and music experts. We believe in product-led growth, where the product is the primary driver of customer acquisition, conversion and expansion.

The Role

We're looking for a Technical Product Manager - Hardware & Supply Chain for the Play&Control team at Soundtrack. This role is part of our device platform and is responsible for the lifecycle, functionality, production, and delivery flows of Soundtrack’s hardware products.

Our hardware powers music experiences in thousands of businesses worldwide and plays a key role in making that experience reliable, scalable, and easy to use. You will initially take ownership of one hardware product, with the opportunity to grow into broader platform responsibility over time.

You will work across the full hardware lifecycle - from development and EVT to mass production and continuous improvements. The role combines technical product ownership with hands-on coordination across hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing.

You will work closely with our ODM partners in China, ensuring alignment on quality, timelines, manufacturing readiness, cost, and delivery flows from factory to warehouse. Internally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across product, engineering, and design in Stockholm.

The role is based in Stockholm, with occasional travel to Asia. It is a highly autonomous role where you are expected to build structure, drive progress, and solve problems proactively.

Responsibilities

  • Own the hardware product lifecycle from development to mass production and beyond

  • Drive hardware functionality, reliability, and production readiness

  • Coordinate production timelines and delivery flows from factory to warehouse

  • Drive issue resolution across hardware, firmware, software and manufacturing partners

  • Manage ODM relationships, timelines, BOM and component-related decisions

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to define and prioritise features

  • Ensure product quality, manufacturability and scalable production processes

  • Over time, take ownership of additional hardware products and platform initiatives

About You

Just like us, you love music. You're driven and entrepreneurial, but also collaborative and pragmatic. You are comfortable operating in an environment where not everything is fully defined yet, and you know how to create structure, prioritise effectively, and move work forward independently.

Requirements

  • Solid experience working with hardware products across full product lifecycles

  • Strong technical understanding of hardware systems and manufacturing processes

  • Experience working with ODM/OEM or manufacturing partners, preferably in Asia

  • Ability to bridge hardware, firmware, software, and product perspectives

  • Experience driving technical product decisions in cross-functional environments

  • Comfortable working independently and establishing scalable ways of working

  • Strong communication skills in English

Beneficial Requirements

  • Background in hardware engineering, embedded systems, or related technical fields

  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems, firmware workflows, or connected devices

  • Experience with BOM, component selection, or cost optimisation

  • Experience working with audio products, IoT, or device platforms

  • Mandarin language skills are considered a plus

Employee Benefits

  • We offer a flexible workplace with the possibility to work remotely

  • Generous pension plan

  • Yearly budget for health, wellness and personal development

  • Laptop and mobile phone of your choice with included cellular subscription

  • Regular social activities such as team events, meet ups, after works and off-sites

  • Daily breakfast served at the office
