We are looking for a digitally-minded communicator - someone who understands both technology and storytelling - to join Laerdal’s Services and Product Information (SAPI) team.

About the role:

SAPI owns the full post-sales journey and delivers clear, compliant, and engaging communication to help Laerdal customers onboard, install, use, and maintain our products.

As our Technical Writer and Information Architect, you will be the bridge between content creators and technical solution owners. You’ll combine your understanding of data, structure, and systems with your ability to communicate clearly and creatively. Your goal: to ensure Laerdal users get the right information, in the right format, at the right time.


Some of what you will be doing:

  • Import, structure, and maintain our portfolio in our CCMS, ensuring correct tagging, profiling, and metadata for efficient reuse and publication.
  • Contribute to the overall content strategy, ensuring we meet user.
  • Act as an information architect for product-related content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain content using structured authoring standards (XML, DITA), enabling reuse and scalability through single-source publishing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and our Digital Business Unit to align on systems, tools, and digital strategies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to manage content as a business asset — consistent, searchable, and future-proof.
  • Support the translation process end-to-end to ensure consistency across languages and regions.


What you bring:

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and curious about how information and technology work together.
  • You balance structure with creativity, understanding how technical precision supports a great user experience.
  • You understand structured content, metadata, and the logic of reusable information.
  • Hands-on experience with Component Content Management Systems (CCMS) and Content Management
  • Systems (CMS) — Paligo experience is a bonus.
  • Skilled with XML and DITA structures, and can navigate single-source content environments.
  • Excellent English communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Information Management, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical communication, information architecture, or content systems management - ideally with products or regulated industries (medical devices are a plus)

The position is situated in Stavanger (not remote).
