Asset Coordinator (Dredging Job)

Asset Coordinator for a dredging job is responsible for managing the lifecycle, inventory, maintenance, and readiness of all dredging and auxiliary equipment to support efficient and compliant project operations. The role involves a mix of administrative data management and practical, on-site coordination with operations and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Tracking and Inventory: Track and manage the inventory of all dredging assets (e.g., pipes, pumps, hoses, vessels, and other heavy equipment) using specialized asset management software.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate and schedule routine, preventive maintenance and timely repairs to minimize downtime and ensure all equipment is in a proper state of readiness for projects.
  • Mobilization and Demobilization: Ensure all assets are ready for use prior to project mobilization and coordinate off-hire surveys and necessary repairs at the end of a project.
  • On-site Audits and Surveys: Travel to project sites and laydown areas (storage yards) to conduct physical inventory checks and condition surveys, reporting any deficiencies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate asset records and documentation, and generate reports on asset status, utilization, performance metrics, and recommended optimization strategies for management.
  • Procurement and Disposal: Manage asset transfers, order spare parts and services through the purchasing system, and assist in setting criteria for equipment repair, upgrade, or decommissioning and disposal in accordance with company policies.
