Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre is looking for an Assistant Director of Banquet Operations/Banquet Operations Manager who will be responsible to plan and prepare for events logistics and work flow. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations at the event. Supervise and lead Banquet service team to deliver guest request and smooth operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with Banquet Sales team and Banquet Kitchen and event requirements and problems
  • Co-ordinate the day to day operations of the Banquet Services Department
  • Plan and prepare logistics and work flow for event according the requirements on Banquet Event Order
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering on cleaning and engineering needs for events
  • Oversee all service and set ups
  • Ensure that Banquet Services team is performing their required duties to hotel's standards and properly groomed
  • Ensure banquet store is clean and neat
  • Supervise functions, especially VIP functions
  • Draw up duty roster for the Banquet Services team
  • Attend to guests' requests and answer guests' enquires
  • Assist guests at tea session with snacks and preparation of refreshments
  • Assemble and arrange tables, chairs and other set ups, such as projectors, flip cards according to instructions on Banquet Event Order
  • Set tables for the event
  • Re-set and/or clear table, chairs and other logistics during breaks or end of event
  • Prepare staging and AV settings according to guests' requirements
  • Inspect final set up and quality of food before events

What We Need From You

3 years experience in banquet services operations, with at least 2 year at supervisory level.

Required Skills:

  • Able to read, write and communicate in English
  • Computer literacy
  • Good communication, team management and problem-solving skills
