Barista/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly corporate workplace cafe, providing a welcoming experience for all customers. Prior barista experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The position involves specialty coffee making, food handling, cash handling, and maintaining food safety standards to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to company standards
• Operate POS systems, including Clover, for accurate cash and credit transactions
• Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and coffee bar in compliance with food safety standards
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
• Follow all food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times

Skills

• Previous barista experience is highly desirable, especially familiarity with POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately
• Experience in serving, food preparation, and general food service operations is preferred
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of food safety practices and proper hygiene procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
