ABOUT YOU
As a Building Control Coordinator (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 25), you bring a calm, focused presence to a fast paced, high stakes environment, maintaining situational awareness and sound judgment amid constant activity and competing priorities. You are detail oriented and dependable, able to process multiple streams of information while responding decisively and appropriately as conditions change. You communicate clearly and confidently, earning trust across technical teams, contractors, and emergency partners, and you value documentation, consistency, and adherence to established procedures. Adaptable and resilient, you are comfortable making real time decisions that support safety, operational continuity, and the broader mission of a complex, 24/7 operation.
What you will do:
- Monitors and supports the continuous operation of critical building, energy, and utility systems to maintain safe and reliable facilities.
- Maintains constant awareness of fire, security, and life‑safety systems, ensuring alarms, alerts, and incidents are handled, documented, and escalated appropriately.
- Serves as the central communications and coordination hub, managing radio, phone, and system notifications while dispatching resources and documenting activity.
- Supports airportwide operations during routine and emergency situations, including facilities coordination, snow operations, vertical transportation incidents, and after‑hours response.
What you offer:
- 1-3 years in facilities operations required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in emergency conditions.
- Massachusetts Class D (III) driver’s license unrestricted except for corrective lenses and automatic transmission required.
- Experience in radio procedures, physical inspection, scheduling and dispatching in either an aviation or public safety setting preferred.
