Business Support Officer – MDT Quality & Clinic Support
Location: Dublin (D8)
Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent (Hybrid)
Fostering First Ireland (FFI) is seeking a motivated administrator with a high standard of written English to join our MDT Service as a Business Support Officer, supporting quality assurance and clinic operations. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the quality and integrity of multidisciplinary assessments for children and families.
Following induction, the role will be based on‑site at our Dublin clinic up to three days per week (typically two), with home‑based work on remaining days.

What You’ll Do
- Support quality assurance by proofreading and reviewing multidisciplinary assessment reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to templates and Letters of Instruction
- Provide administrative and clinic support, including appointment scheduling, referrals, correspondence, quotes, fee notes, and case tracking
- Maintain accurate electronic records, trackers, and workflow summaries to support effective MDT communication
- Welcome children and families to the clinic and help maintain a calm, safe, child‑friendly environment
- Work closely with clinicians and colleagues to support smooth service delivery
Depending on qualifications and experience, additional MDT support opportunities may be available under professional supervision.
What We’re Looking For
- Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) plus a relevant further education qualification (e.g. PLC, Certificate or Diploma) in administration, business, office systems, or a related field OR
- Equivalent substantial administrative experience gained through employment
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a busy administrative or business support role, managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience producing, formatting and quality checking written documents to a high standard
- A high standard of written and spoken English suitable for professional report quality assurance
- Strong IT competence, including confident use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and digital trackers/records
Experience in proofreading, healthcare, psychology, education, or social care settings is an advantage, but not essential. Training and support will be provided.
