Community Engagement Coordinator

We are looking for a driven, high-energy individual to join our team as a Community Engagement & Organizational Support Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about communications, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and supporting the overall success of a nonprofit organization.

This is a high-activity role, working directly with the Executive Director to support various functions that drive the organization forward, including stakeholder engagement, funding opportunities, and event coordination. The ideal candidate is motivated, eager to learn, and excited to make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stakeholder & Community Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, donors, and corporate partners.
  • Support the Executive Director in outreach efforts, stakeholder communications, and partnership development.
  • Assist in developing impact stories, newsletters, and engagement materials to showcase our work.
  • Identify and participate in community events that align with organizational objectives.

2. Organizational & Executive Support

  • Provide direct support to the Executive Director in managing outreach, reporting, and relationship-building efforts.
  • Help streamline internal processes, ensuring alignment between funding opportunities, community engagement, and organizational priorities.
  • Assist with board communications, reports, and key strategic initiatives.

3. Identifying & Pursuing Funding Opportunities

  • Research and track potential grants, funding opportunities, and sponsorships.
  • Support the preparation of grant applications and donor proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Manage donor stewardship efforts, ensuring partners and funders remain engaged and informed.

4. Event Coordination & Community Representation

  • Assist in planning and executing community and fundraising events.
  • Identify key community initiatives where the organization should have a presence.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SALES, communications, nonprofit administration, fundraising, or community engagement.
  • Strong writing skills, particularly in professional outreach, donor communication, and proposal development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with fundraising principles, grant writing, or event coordination is an asset but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: Remote
