About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost and Inventory Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate inventory tracking and cost control across all restaurant locations. The officer will oversee inventory reconciliation, monitor stock movements, and provide insightful cost analysis that directly impacts profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory counts across multiple branches
- Monitor stock levels and set reorder points to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and resolve inventory discrepancies
Cost Control
- Monitor and analyze food, beverage, and packaging costs by location
- Analyze recipe costing and recommend adjustments based on usage trends and supplier pricing
- Partner with purchasing and kitchen teams to drive cost savings
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Perform theoretical vs. actual cost variance analysis
- Share actionable insights with Finance and Operations leadership
System & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure consistent and compliant use of POS and inventory systems across locations
- Enforce policies on stock handling, transfers, and waste logging
- Support audits and internal control processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Administration (Financial Management/Operations), or Industrial Engineering
- 2 years of relevant experience in inventory and cost control (preferably in restaurant, multi-branch, or commissary-based operations)
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, COGS, and inventory valuation methods (e.g., standard costing, weighted average)
- Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic macros)
- Familiarity with POS, ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP), and inventory management software
- Strong analytical, audit, and reporting skills
- High integrity in handling financial data; effective in cross-functional communication
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
