We are looking for an experienced Development Manager who can inspire, plan and lead a team of talented senior developers and designers. The team you will be leading develops backend, mobile applications and web applications for Sony’s smart office solution Nimway. Nimway helps companies and employees get the most out of their workplaces by providing data to measure facts, analytics tools to understand problems and employee experiences to help and encourage the best possible use of the space. The solution is developed in Malmö and deployed across the globe for companies that seek an innovative, qualitative, safe and privacy-conserving solution.
As part of Sony Network Communications Europe (SNCE), we operate like a scaleup within a large multinational enterprise - combining agility and innovation with the stability and global reach of Sony. As a manager, it is important that you can thrive in both an independent business as well as interact within the Sony Group.
You will:
- Manage a team of senior software developers and UX designers
- Lead the planning and follow-up of new development as well as customer inquiries
- Work closely with the product manager to define what to do when
- Set salaries, individual targets and development goals for employees
- Recruitment of employees, consultants and temporary workers in line with the budget
- Work with quality in accordance with Sony's quality management process and Nimway’s process based on ISO9001, ISO27001 and ISO14001
- Remove hurdles and obstacles for the team to perform and strive
- Together with the product team and the management team, drive the innovation process in the business
- Collaborate with the operations team that is responsible for support and deployment of the Nimway solution.
- Align with marketing and sales regarding product material
- Report development progress to the management team
- Contribute to setting the budget and mid-range plan for the organisation

- Experience of working with end-user-facing apps and services
- Experience of working with hardware teams and projects
- Fluent in English and Swedish (additional languages are a plus).
