Duties

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure availability for food preparation and service
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients under supervision
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
• Support catering and banquet events by preparing serving stations and ensuring all necessary items are ready
• Help with bussing tables during service hours to maintain a clean dining environment
• Follow food handling safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to organize supplies, stock stations, and assist in food prep as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or equipment
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during busy shifts
• Familiarity with kitchen tools, utensils, and cleaning supplies is a plus
• Prior experience with banquet or large event catering is advantageous but not mandatory
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment aligned with hospitality standards
