Duties

• Design and implement comprehensive drum curricula tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels
• Lead engaging individual and group drum lessons that emphasize technique, rhythm, and musicality
• Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and motivating learning environment
• Develop innovative lesson plans that incorporate elements of percussion techniques, musical genres, and performance skills
• Support students’ progress through regular assessments, constructive feedback, and personalized coaching
• Organize and oversee student performances or recitals to showcase their growth and build confidence
• Collaborate with other instructors in cross-disciplinary projects involving theater, dance, or music ensembles
• Maintain a clean, organized teaching space equipped with drums and related musical instruments

Experience

• Experience working with children, early childhood education, preschool experience or special education is highly valued
• Knowledge of lesson planning techniques that cater to both beginner and advanced learners
• Experience on drum kit as well as percussive instruments
