Summary:
GBS Record To Report-Fixed Asset Team, Manila is committed to provide exceptional customer service within The Hershey Company, by assuring prudent stewardship of the Company’s assets.
The Fixed Asset Accountant will perform various functions in ensuring effective maintenance of the organization’s fixed assets. The Fixed Asset process includes, but are not limited to, 1) Creation, Maintenance and Closing of Internal Orders related to Capital Asset projects; 2) Transfers, Disposals and Retirement of Assets via Hershey Capital Asset Realocation and Disposal (CARD) system and 3) Fixed Asset related month end reports.
This role is expected to Partner with US Fixed Assets team, and will be working together to ensure process excellence, continues improvement, business partnership and service delivery thru define metrics, is met or exceeded.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Capital Asset Administration (40%)
The role is expected to perform the following task, based on the identified frequency:
- IO creations (openings)
- IO changes (e.g., PM change, Budgets)
- IO Closures (e.g., Close, TECO)
- SOX Controls Reports Report
- Transferring of Miscellaneous Capital to the following year
- Transferring of Budgets to the following year
Any other process as identified to be under Capital Assets Administration.
Capital Asset Realocation and Disposal System (CARD) System Administration (30%)
- Disposal
- Retirement
- Asset Sale
- Asset Transfer
Capital Asset Month-End Reports and Account Reconciliation (10%)
- Month End Reports
The role is expected to deliver identified month end reports, such as IS Chargeback Computation, Capital Retainage, Idle Asset Reserve, Open IO Analysis. Any other reports identified in the future will also be in-scope.
- Account Reconciliation
Hershey uses Blackline System on the Balance Sheet Accoun Reconciliation. Account Recon are identied as either Key or Non Key, depending on the nature. Frequency of reconciliation will depend on the account classification.
SOX Controls and Process Review (10%)
- SOX Controls
The role is expected to perform various SOX controls to make sure that process is compliant with the related policy and controls.
- Process Review
- The role is also expected to oversee the completeness and accuracy of SLA for the team and will proactively address any gaps on a timely manner.
- He/She will also oversee the whole FA process which includes IO, CARDS and reports.
Others (10%)

- Continuous Process Improvement
- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Tracking, Issue Resolution and Service Delivery
The role is responsible for meeting and exceeding predefined set of metrics, including defining new metrics, as needed. Escalation Matrix and guidelines is established within Record to Report Manila Team, adherence to timely escalation and resolution is expected.
- Adhoc/ other Tasks:
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
- BS Accountancy, or any Business course with higher level of Accounting
- At least 2 years of Fixed Asset experience
- Certified Public Accountant, preferred
- Proficient understanding of US GAAP on Fixed Assets
- Basic knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint)

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, in Accountancy, or related Accounting courses. CPA is preferred
Experience:
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in Fixed Assets
- CPA with at least 1 year in General Accounting is highly preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (S4 ECC) and Microsoft Office applications
- Soft Skills: Proactive, independent, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills
- Amenable to a shifting schedule of mid shift (3 pm to 12 mn for 3 weeks) and night shift (8 pm to 5 am for 1 week)
