Job Description:

Whitbie's Diner is looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Server / Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with customers, handling food and beverages, and creating quality drinks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (coffee, espresso drinks, iced drinks, etc.)
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Handle food safely and follow food safety standards
• Serve food to customers
• Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment
• Operate POS/cash register and handle payments
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining area, and equipment
• Restock supplies as needed
• Follow opening and closing procedures when required

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of coffee drinks and cold beverages (training provided if needed)
• Ability to handle food safely and hygienically
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently during short shifts
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Previous barista or serving experience is an asset, but not required

Availability:

• Part-time
• Shifts range from 2 to 7 hours
