About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven General Accountant to support our client’s accounting operations. You will play a key role in managing accounts payable and receivable, handling invoice runs, assisting with monthly and annual financial closing, and supporting audit processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced international environment and bring both precision and a proactive attitude, this role is for you.

Work hours: 12pm to 9pm Manila time (6am to 3pm CEST)

Work arrangement: Remote

What you’ll do

• Independently manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice posting, allocation, and payment monitoring.
• Oversee the invoice run process and maintain both general and sub-ledger accounts, with a focus on receivables.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Support internal and external audits, including tax examinations and financial audits.
• Act as a point of contact for other internal accounting teams and assist in cross-functional accounting projects.

What you bring

• A degree in accounting or finance, or completion of a commercial apprenticeship with at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a natural affinity for numbers.

• Experience in accounting software, ideally SAP

• Experience using ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive, flexible mindset.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with German or overall European financial reporting standards and local invoice processing regulations

• Fluency in German language is a plus, not required
