General Labourer/Helper

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for laborers to perform labour tasks at our work sites. The ideal candidate for this position has manual labour experience and the ability to perform physical labor on a daily basis. We are looking for reliable, hardworking candidates who are able to work independently and under the direction of a supervisor. Please note that all candidates must be 18+ to apply for these positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform manual tasks such as removing materials, cleaning, and transferring waste.
• Follow detailed instructions from supervisors.
• Be able to work at a construction site with multiple tasks going on.
• Take direction from supervisors and work with teams of coworkers.
• Stand for long periods of time while doing manual tasks.
• Perform physical labor that includes lifting, pushing, and pulling materials ( up to 50lbs).
• Use construction tools such as olfa knives, hand drills, and hammers.
• Wear a respirator and be cleanly shaven
• Remove asbestos and other hazardous materials safely

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
