Join us as a Global Logistics Specialist (Trade Compliance)

What will you be doing?

The candidate will join the global logistics team in Asia Pacific managing both Domestic and International shipments originating from all WWT warehouse locations and other vendor and remote facilities. The role is to execute the trade compliance policy in accordance with the SOP in supporting programs within the portfolio in the regions. This role requires a sound understanding of trade compliance and customs practice to work with geographically dispersed customs brokers and teams. The right candidates is well organized, meticulous to details, proactive, comfortable with challenges, wants to develop in the field of compliance and is able to work as a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform restricted party and sanctioned country screening and resolve the potential ‘hits' with related parties.
  • Provide guidance/deliverables advising on proper transactional setup with all trade compliance considerations (IOR/EOR requirements, licensing needs, proper customs declaration, incoterms, valuation).
  • Perform product classification (HTS & ECCN) reviews for pending orders.
  • Maintain the records of End User Statement for exporting strategic goods.
  • Reviewing BOMs and providing global team or customers with documentation which will be needed for importing into destination country.
  • Audit the permits for all inbound and outbound shipments daily.
  • Assist in applying relevant imports or exports permit as required by the law and regulations of the APAC countries.
  • Work with the brokers in the destinations to resolve any issues with the import shipments.
  • Assist acute issues and requests via email and offer support when necessary.
  • Execute external communications for activities relating to customs audits, requests for information, and prior disclosures.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Business, Law, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience in both Domestic and International Logistics and Trade Compliance
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Technology or Electronics industry is a plus.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio application proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Malay is strongly preferred due to the need to deal with different APAC legal entities
