Head Barista

Seeking a Head Barista for our front of house coffee program. Hours can fluctuate from 30-40 hours a week. Hourly wage to start is $18-$19.50 with additional tips.

The candidate must be a skilled barista with extensive experience using an espresso machine. The candidate must be able to create microfoam while steaming all types of milk and make drinks with foam art. The candidate must be comfortable with "dialing in" the espresso to ensure we are meeting and fine-tuning brewing parameters to achieve the perfect extraction and flavour balance for our drinks.

Responsibilities will include, running the coffee bar, ordering all coffee stock , training all employees on the Bar , maintaining excellent coffee standards at all time, ensuring the equipment is cleaned and maintained on a regular basis.

Additional responsibilities would include working with a Point Of Sale system efficiently, taking orders, customer service, housekeeping, and preparing drink orders, doing dishes and cleaning tables.

Must be motivated, friendly, teachable, hospitable, and above all else, happy to serve the customer.

Candidate must be able to work well with the other staff members and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and the Store Manager & Owners.
