Head Housekeeper

Work location: 212 Lake Terrace, Waipahihi, Taupō

Length of employment: Full time and permanent

Hourly rate: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week (Minimum 30 hours guaranteed).

Number of position available: 1

Well Hospitality Limited trading as Phoenix Resort located in Taupo is currently in need of a Head Housekeeper.

Your duties may include but not limited to:

• determining work requirements and allocating duties to Commercial Housekeepers, Luggage Porters and Doorpersons

• conferring with managers to coordinate activities with other organisational units

• maintaining attendance records and rosters

• explaining and enforcing safety regulations

• overseeing the work of the unit and suggesting improvements and changes

• conferring with workers to resolve grievances

• may perform front office and hotel reception duties

To be successful in this role, you need

• NZQF Level 4 or higher qualification business/management/hospitality field, or at least two years’ relevant work experience is required.

• Excellent team-oriented and can work overtime and flexibly over the week;

• High standard of work ethics with an excellent can-do attitude is a must.

• Can work on weekends and public holidays when necessary and be flexible and conscientious.

• Clean police record and can pass drug tests
