Head Housekeeper Needed

Our well-established motel is looking for a reliable and hardworking Head Housekeeper to join our team.

• Competitive Salary: $30–$35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience

Responsibilities

• Assess daily operational needs and allocate tasks to housekeeping staff to ensure efficient service delivery
• Coordinate with the motel manager to align housekeeping activities with other departments across the motel
• Maintain accurate housekeeping staff attendance records and prepare duty rosters
• Communicate, implement, and uphold workplace health and safety standards
• Supervise housekeeping team performance, monitor work quality, and recommend improvements to procedures and service standards
• Address staff concerns and resolve workplace issues in a fair and timely manner
• Support front office operations when required, including assisting with reception and guest services

Minimum Requirements

• A tertiary qualification (NZQF Level 5 Diploma or higher) in Hospitality, Management, or a related field, OR at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar industry
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays when required
