Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely and efficient service during busy hours
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in all aspects of food handling and storage
• Support kitchen operations by organizing supplies, utensils, and ingredients for smooth workflow
• Collaborate with team members to execute menu planning and special catering events
• Ensure proper knife skills are used for precise food preparation and portion control
• Help with food presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing before serving

Experience

• Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant, catering, or food service setting is highly preferred
• Familiarity with culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Strong knife skills and ability to assist in meal preparation efficiently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$35.25 per hour

Work Location: In person
