Duties

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
• Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Help with menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal dishes or specials.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation.

Pay: $16.55-$20.19 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
