Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to maintain a safe and functional environment that supports our organization's mission to meet the most basic needs of hungry, homeless, and vulnerable people in our community while offering a clear path to self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all CHATT Foundation buildings and equipment.
• Carry out skilled trade duties, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Conduct repairs on all buildings and equipment as needed.
• Replace parts and equipment necessary for CF operations.
• Inspect buildings and equipment for safety concerns.
• Clean buildings, equipment, and grounds as required.
• Perform janitorial duties as required.
• Assemble parts and equipment as needed.
• Maintain inventory control and accountability for maintenance tools and supplies.
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the CHATT Foundation.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
• Show a commitment to the mission and vision of the CHATT Foundation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year maintenance experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for an entire shift.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work from ladders and on uneven ground, and in areas with associated risks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to safe work environment
• Ability to transition between tasks.
• Capacity to handle crises while maintaining a professional demeanor with kindness and confidence.
• Background screen and drug screen required. CHATT Foundation is a second-chance employer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
