POSITION SUMMARY
Provide for the general operation and preventive maintenance of campus equipment and buildings.

EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE
- Two years general maintenance training and/or experience in plumbing, fire system
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Certification in Air conditioning and/or refrigeration
THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Assign work orders, as necessary, to maintenance workers according to areas of responsibility.
- Maintain work order log and turn into Facility Manager all completed work orders on a weekly basis.
- Monitor the overall preventive maintenance and repairs of the air conditioner, refrigeration, fire system, heating, plumbing, electrical (ballasts, outlets, switches, light fixtures)
- Assume supervisory responsibilities of housekeeping, maintenance and grounds in absence of Site Plant Operations Supervisor; Providing leadership and direction in order to ensure effective teamwork and achievement of goals in the Maintenance Department
- Participate in rotation of on-call duty during off work hours following protocol
- Notify supervisor of all problems with plant or equipment in a timely manner
- Maintain flexibility in working hours in order to meet the needs of the department
