Job Summary:

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations to ensure efficient, safe, and organized management of personnel, inventory, and processes. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach to managing a dynamic team, implementing effective systems, and maintaining compliance with operational and safety standards.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and route dispatch readiness across all markets, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, picking, staging, and delivery execution.
  • Supervise handling of perishable products in refrigerated environments, maintaining strict cold-chain compliance, temperature monitoring, and FIFO/FEFO rotation.
  • Manage inbound shipments (domestic/international), ensuring PO accuracy and complete documentation.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proactive stock rotation to minimize shrinkage and spoilage.
  • Plan, staff, and optimize delivery routes, including schedule adjustments, customer updates, and out-of-route approvals.
  • Monitor dispatch flow, route execution, and shipment timelines; quickly resolve delays and operational issues.
  • Track and analyze warehouse and route KPIs, recommending and implementing process improvements.
  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse and route teams; manage scheduling, performance, engagement, and discipline processes.
  • Conduct team meetings, daily huddles, and annual performance reviews; ensure alignment with company goals and SOPs.
  • Maintain SOPs and enforce compliance with food safety, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee facility, fleet, and equipment maintenance, including preventive programs, logs, fuel management, and repairs.
  • Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and proper closing procedures across warehouse and office areas.
  • Handle administrative tasks including HR communication, timecard approvals, supply ordering, and operational reporting.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position successfully:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 60 lbs., occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including over four (4) consecutive hours.
  • Ability to push or pull pallets using pallet jacks and move orders or loads via U-boats weighing up to 2,500 lbs., with appropriate equipment.
  • Ability to work in warehouse, refrigerated, and freezer environments with temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F for extended periods.

Pay: $36,500.00 per year
