Outside Resource Teacher (Floater/Breaker)

Requirements: demonstrates basic skills and knowledge in preschool education, working knowledge of Title 22,able to successfully manage a classroom for young children, able to occasionally plan and implement daily curriculum following center philosophy, demonstrate good oral communication skills, able to work under the supervision of the administrative staff, able to work as a team member with all staff members, able to establish a positive rapport with children and parents and make adequate decisions regarding children’s safety and well-being in the absence of the teacher (whenever applicable). Must be sensitive to the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of the children, enjoy the outdoors, be able to work in an outside environment, enjoy working with animals, be able to work in loud areas, be able to lift 50 lbs, twist, turn, stoop, reach, push, and bend, demonstrating full range of motions. Must be flexible and able to work and problem solve effectively with parents and staff.

Applicant MUST have minimum of 12 core units in ECE (infant/toddler units desirable). Copy of transcripts required (need not be official).

Upon acceptance of employment, the applicant must be able to pass the Department of Social Services live scan finger printing background check, obtain and pass a health screening and TB skin test by a medical professional, show proof of immunization to Pertussis and Measles, and obtain yearly Influenza vaccine (waiver available), take and maintain CPR and First Aid certification, take free yearly Healthy Schools Act training and free bi-annual Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment Training. Applicants must show proof of CPR and First Aide certification within one month of the hired date. Applicants are responsible for all time and fees involved in acquiring the certifications and immunizations prior to the first day of employment.

Hourly range starting at $18.50-23.40/hour and up depending on education.

Hours: Full-Time / Current hours are 10:00am to 5:30pm. The center is open weekdays from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Hours may fluctuate depending on the center needs and for training (advance notice will be given).

Benefits for Full-Time: Holiday pay, paid vacation, optional partial dental insurance once the applicant has passed his/her probation period. Partial medical insurance coverage after 3 years of employment, full medical coverage after 6 years. Sick time available after 90 working days of employment. Employee can also contribute to a 401K plan after one year of employment.

Age: Toddler (18 months) to Pre-Kindergarten (ages 4-6)
