Purchasing Officer

Job Description

• Develop and update sourcing plans for local and international suppliers.
• Prepare and convert Order Proposals into Purchase Orders on time.
• Improve forecasting and reordering based on demand.
• Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for quality, cost-effective materials and services.
• Ensure continuous supply of materials to meet short and long-term needs.
• Negotiate contracts for products and materials, ensuring quality, cost, and service standards.
• Ensure timely release of imported products while minimizing freight costs.
• Comply with purchasing policies and submit complete financial documents ·(i.e. delivery receipt, invoices).
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, and service standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of any Bachelor’s/College degree
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is an advantage
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing
• Knowledge of procurement process, purchasing research, inventory management and other supply chain functions
• Knowledgeable in ERP or any data entry software
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Attention to Detail
• Highly analytical, numerate, research-oriented
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Willing to work Monday to Saturday
