Description:
What You'll Be Doing:
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify procurement needs and align with business goals.
Research and evaluate potential suppliers, comparing their products, prices, and services.
Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best deals.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely supply and prevent shortages.
Assess and manage supplier performance, ensuring quality and reliability.
Partner with internal teams to understand demand forecasts and project requirements.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and key procurement data.
Stay ahead of market trends, exploring new products and alternative sourcing options.

What We’re Looking For:
While prior experience in purchasing or procurement is a plus, we value a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude just as much. Key qualities include:

Strong negotiation skills with a focus on balancing cost savings and quality.
Excellent communication abilities to foster effective relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
Analytical thinking and proficiency in data analysis for informed decision-making.
A meticulous eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.

Your Skills:
Experience in procurement or purchasing processes (preferred, not essential).
Familiarity with supply chain management principles.
Proficiency in purchasing software and MS Office applications.
Ability to analyse market trends and implement cost-saving strategies.
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Our factory in Armidale is a beauty to see with an amazing selection of buildings under construction at any time. The genius of the manufacturing process is the regulated ‘drum beat’ that it runs to. A bit like a car factory – each building moves through a production line of work stations. Starting off as a steel chassis and ending up as a completed, ready to occupy building in as little as 21 days.
