Rebar/Steel Estimator

Location: Either Makati or Taguig (Full Onsite)

Work Schedule: Mid/Night Shift

Job Overview:

The Rebar Estimator is responsible for delivering accurate and timely quantity estimates for reinforcement steel projects. Collaborating with design, detailing, and manufacturing teams, the Estimator ensures all quotations are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with client specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in rebar estimation, detailing, or structural steel take-offs.
  • Familiarity with rebar detailing software (e.g., CADS RC, Tekla Structures, Bluebeam, or similar)
  • Understanding of rebar manufacturing processes, including cut-and-bend operations, is an advantage
  • Experience in the construction or precast concrete industry is a plus
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in interpreting structural drawings and bar bending schedules
  • Skilled in estimation software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Capable of managing multiple bids under tight deadlines
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to coordinate across design, production, and logistics functions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze structural drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to generate precise rebar estimates.
  • Determine quantities, weights, cutting and bending needs, and calculate associated fabrication and delivery costs.
  • Prepare and submit quotations or tender documents within specified deadlines and client expectations.
  • Provide value engineering options where applicable to enhance cost efficiency and production feasibility.
  • Coordinate with design and detailing teams to ensure a clear understanding of bar schedules, drawings, and project scope.
  • Review and verify bar bending schedules (BBS) to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and logistics teams to align estimates with plant capacities and delivery timelines.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to clarify scope, technical queries, and commercial terms.
  • Maintain thorough records of all pricing, tender submissions, and related communications.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining cost databases, standard pricing tools, and competitive intelligence.
  • Support monthly pipeline forecasts and bid performance reporting.
  • Ensure all estimates conform to internal quality standards, safety protocols, and applicable codes (e.g., CARES, Eurocodes, BS, IS).
  • Comply with ISO standards and company governance or compliance policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Makati: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
