Practice Nurse

The successful applicant will join a busy and prestigious specialist medical practice in Cork City.

Candidates should be flexible team players with a good professional manner focused on patient service.

The Practice Nurse will work closely with the consultant to optimize patient care. Duties will include preliminary testing and preparing patients for examination by the Consultant, and further clinical testing where appropriate. Duties will also include organization and filing of medical records, and assisting with patient queries for example with regard to investigations or procedures.

We consider the post to be very important to ensure the smooth running of the practice. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast paced clinic environment

Ability to work on own initiative and manage time efficiently

Ability to multi-task

Understanding of regulations governing patient confidentiality and GDPR

Proven ability to work as part of a team

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
