Registered Practice Nurse

Medical clinic located in Hoppers Crossing is seeking an extremely motivated and friendly registered practice nurse. Health Hub provides a broad range of medical services to the community ranging from; family medicine and preventative medicine. Our aim to achieve the best possible health outcomes by using our skills, knowledge and expertise and working in partnership with our patients.

You will be reporting directly to the directors but will oversee the following;
REGISTERED NURSE – GENERAL PRACTICE
About the Role
Our Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and sustainable primary healthcare through engaging and collaborating with our patients and Health Care Professionals. Our nursing team embraces quality improvement, education, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based practice to meet the current and future needs of our patients.
Key outcomes of your work:
The nursing team are supported and developed through a helpful and appropriate Coaching approach delivering Best Practice standards and Continuous Quality Improvement.
Patients experience a high standard of care through thorough and appropriate patient assessments and care plans.
The coordination of patient care and clinical operations are optimised and enhanced through effective decision making and collaboration across the healthcare team.
Patients' rights and needs are consistently upheld and protected.
Clinical procedures, documentation, administration and communication are managed professionally to the standards required.
About You
Scope of Practice: Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in patient care and enrolled nursing practices.
Coachability: Responds well and quickly to feedback and coaching.
Advocacy: Commitment to advocating for patients' rights and well-being.
Attention to Detail: Carry out tasks with accuracy and precision ensuring patient safety, proper medication administration and accurate documentation.
Interpersonal Skills: Building strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Professional Practice: Continual learning and development to ensure up to date knowledge of applicable legislation, policies and procedures, compliance obligations, and clinical guidelines.
· Patient Triage
· Dressings
· Health checks
· Assisting with minor procedures
· Immunisations
· Occasional pathology collection
· Ordering and Maintaining stock
· ECG, spirometry
· Patient recalls for results and reminders
· Tidying and restocking consulting rooms
· Maintaining Policies & Procedures compliant with accreditation standards
· The ideal candidate is a team player
· Chronic Condition management
Taking bloods as well if required and requested
In addition to above what’s required of you?
- Experience as a Registered Practice Nurse.
- Excellent leadership.
- Exquisite time management skills.
- A friendly and outgoing nature.
- A hard working and motivated work ethic.
- Patient management of both the medical and administration teams.
- Maintenance of professional relationships and liaison with external service providers such as Onelink, medical supplier, Accountant and Bookkeeper and medical/goods suppliers.
Skills and experience:
The candidate has current AHPRA registration as an R.N. The candidate is adaptable and motivated, enjoys working in a team environment and is looking for a long term position.
Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia
