Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

An established international engineering group is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee and develop a dedicated team responsible for the electrical design and fitout of containerised and skid-based systems.

The successful candidate will provide technical direction, ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems, and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across all project stages. Key Responsibilities1. Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of electrical engineers responsible for design and fitout delivery.
• Define team objectives, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines.
• Conduct regular technical and project reviews to ensure efficiency and clear communication.
• Provide professional development, training, and performance management to build team capability.
• Manage resources and workloads in line with project priorities and production plans.

2. Electrical Design and Fitout Oversight

• Oversee the electrical design and integration of systems within containerised and skid-based equipment.
• Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate design interfaces between electrical and mechanical disciplines to ensure compatibility.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges through proactive design reviews and clash detection.

3. Project Coordination and Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including structural, mechanical, civil, and procurement.
• Liaise with project managers and stakeholders to maintain design intent, timelines, and quality standards.
• Support the preparation of project documentation, schedules, and progress reports.
• Contribute to the coordination of commissioning and handover processes.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and environmental awareness within the team.

5. Continuous Improvement and Innovation

• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost reduction through design innovation and technology.
• Champion best practices in electrical engineering, digital design tools, and modularised manufacturing techniques.
• Stay informed on industry advancements to enhance design and delivery efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Master’s degree advantageous).
• 7–10 years’ experience in electrical engineering roles, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven experience in electrical design and integration for engineered or prefabricated systems (e.g., skid-based, process, or containerised equipment).
• Strong understanding of electrical design standards, safety compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €80,000.00-€90,000.00 per year
