Senior Software Engineer (Contract)
Job Purpose
The key scope of work is to develop and enhance the existing applications relating to WINK+.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop existing applications relating to WINK+
- Translate functional requirements from users into sound technical designs that meet the objectives
- Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance
- Stay up-to-date with new technology trends
- Able to work both independently as well as with a team on multiple projects
- Participate in application development life cycle
- Deliver projects on-time and with quality
- Work with the team in managing AWS, cybersecurity, data integrity, etc.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack development
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is a plus
- Experience working with Cloud Native Infrastructure (Familiarity with AWS is a plus)
- Candidates with zero-to-one startup and scale-up experience is a plus
Skills
- Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer or similar role in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Node.js for backend development.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Bonus: Experience with C# and familiarity with .NET frameworks.
