Summer Intern

Attention all engineering students interested in the energy sector! Mercury is currently seeking talented and motivated interns to join our team for the summer from November 2024 to February 2025.

As an engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of engineering projects that will contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions. This is an opportunity to put your theoretical knowledge into practice.

We are looking for three Mechanical Engineering Interns to be based in our Rotorua office, Geothermal Power station based at Mokai and Hydro Power Station based at Aratiatia working with our experienced engineers and other graduates.

About you:

• An interest in renewable power generation
• Currently studying 2nd to 4th year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (please provide official transcripts)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The passion, curiosity and enthusiasm to get stuck in and make a real difference
• A full and clean New Zealand drivers' licence
