As a Learning Designer/Developer, you’ll curate or design, develop, and test global learning content and/or marketing materials.
You will consult to understand and interpret Business learning requirements in order to create learning solutions that will meet the current and emerging needs of the business.
What will you do?
- Lead design, development, and testing of learning content creation and/or curation aligned to the Enterprise Learning Products team.
- Assess and validate requirements to create learning that will meet the current and emerging needs of the business.
- Operationalize learning design through agile-lite methodologies, participating in Agile Sprints and Showcase events as required.
- Apply knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices for instructional design tools and techniques to create and/or curate effective solutions that achieve organizational objectives and deliver outstanding employee experiences.
- Estimate work effort, sequencing and timelines for learning solutions, reviewing and providing feedback on project timelines, identifying risks and recommending options/strategies for mitigation (from a content design/development perspective).
- Operate with a “bring before build” mindset to leverage existing RBC learning artifacts and content that expedite delivery timelines and foster a culture of reuse within the broader Learning ecosystem.
- Follow brand and accessibility standards and review all assets for quality control; working with the Developer Team to ensure thorough QA and testing for higher complexity learning assets (for in house builds or vendor-created assets).
- Initiate Vendor-led learning content design and development (including business requirements documentation and contract negotiations) in partnership with Vendor Engagement, with a focus on driving development and review timelines, and quality content review & testing to ensure that assets are clear, concise, modern, and engaging.
- Use learner feedback to propose options for improving learning content/experience.
- Stay up to date on the latest innovations in adult learning practices and look for ways to continuously improve the squad velocity.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- A track record of designing engaging, scalable programs that deliver measurable results.
- Degree, diploma, and/or certificate in Adult Education, Course and Curriculum Development, Instructional Design or similar field. A knowledge of adult learning principles, training methodologies and best practices or demonstrated experience in a Designer role is preferred.
- Excellent consulting skills with demonstrated capability in managing stakeholder expectations.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high stakes projects and deliverables.
- Excellent vendor management skills, providing support and guidance to external vendors.
- Deep understanding of business strategy, with a proven ability to think strategically and problem solve.
- Experience with authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Rise and Storyline), with Learning Management Systems, and delivery platforms.
- Prior experience designing and developing learning solutions for a corporate audience.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing circumstances in an agile environment.
- Ability to work proactively as part of a global Learning team.

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2026 Student placement with a start date of May 2026, and end date of August 2026. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026 ; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2026), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
