What is the opportunity?
We’re thrilled to offer a 4-month summer opportunity to join our team in a role related to Engagement and Program Coordination. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a key part in supporting the planning, execution, and management of digital content, events, and community engagement initiatives. There are various roles within our Marketing team. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create meaningful connections, deliver impactful programs, and track performance metrics to ensure success. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, creative, and passionate about community engagement and program development.
What will you do?
What do you need to succeed?

Digital Content Creation and Management:
- Plan, create, and publish engaging digital content, including social media posts, email campaigns, and automated messages.
- Monitor and engage with online communities to foster relationships and enhance brand presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of content with organizational goals and messaging.

Event Coordination:
- Coordinate event logistics, including registration, invitations, materials, content capture (video, photo, audio), and ROI tracking.
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, such as workshops, activations, and community initiatives.
- Track and report event performance metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including schools, students, community members, and external partners.
- Support the development and implementation of community engagement initiatives to foster meaningful connections.
- Prepare trackers, reports, and overviews of partner engagements and community initiatives.

Program Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of program components, such as student enablement, financial literacy resources, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Provide administrative support for events, meetings, and communications.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns, events, and programs.
Must-Have:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with digital channels and social media platforms.
- Writing and copywriting skills.
- Event planning and coordination experience or interest.
- Proficiency in social media and digital engagement strategies.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with community engagement, education, or youth development initiatives.
- Basic project leadership skills.
- Familiarity with performance tracking tools and reporting.
- Interest and/or experience in the startup/Canadian tech ecosystem.
- Interest in life sciences, venture capital, cleantech, innovation, and business.
- French language proficiency is considered an asset.
- Experience with content creation tools.

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2026 Student placement with a start date of May 2026, and end date of August 2026. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026 ; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2026), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
