As a User Experience (UX) Research Intern at JPMorgan Chase, you will have a hand-on experience designing real-world projects, deepening your knowledge, and practicing new skills in partnership with dedicated mentors who will guide you through the entire journey of your internship. Our UX Research internship is a 12-week, full-time program centered around supporting the UX, product design and experience operations within an internal-facing organization. The internship will take place in Summer 2026.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with a network of supportive colleagues from cross-functional UX teams including design, engineering, product, and business to understand the firm and client needs
- Conduct UX research on employee-facing products and initiatives to drive strategic business solutions and design decisions
- Construct and present research deliverables to deliver insights to stakeholders
- Conduct interviews, contextual inquiry, evaluative research, survey design, etc.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Currently working towards a Master's or PHD degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Psychology, Social Science or other related discipline, with an expected graduation / conferral date in Spring/Summer 2026
- Ability to commit to a 12 week full-time (40 hrs/week) internship
- Expertise in qualitative research methods and frameworks, such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, journey mapping, card sorting, or usability studies
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels or the organization
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment
- Drive and capacity to advocate on behalf of our users
- A portfolio of work or case studies
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior experience working with product design teams including designers, engineers,
product owners, etc. - Quantitative expertise in survey, statistical analysis, data science
