Introduction:
Future Learning language school was founded in 2013 and is driven by educators. We are a team of experts in the area of Educational Technology with many years of experience in designing and delivering programmes for young people which make best use of teaching and learning through technology. We are actively involved in developing and promoting the effective use of technology in the classroom both in Ireland and throughout Europe. Our approach of Project-Based, Technology Enhanced Learning means that students work together to complete projects through English, using technology where it can help them in reaching their objective.
Overview:
This role is in the accommodation department of a growing English Language school with year-round adult and young learner centres in Athlone and Dublin as well as summer centres in Athlone, Dublin, Galway and Tonbridge (UK). You will be placing young learners and occasionally young adult students with appropriate host families.
Non-Exhaustive Duties
- Maintaining and Recruiting of suitable host families in different areas, including Garda vetting process.
- Recruitment includes following up on email enquiries, social media campaigns, word of mouth and phone calls etc.
- Monitor the welfare of students in host families and be familiar with and prepared to implement the school’s Child Protection procedures.
- Liaising with the YL Accommodation Coordinator / YL Summer centre manager to solve any issues relating to all host family stays and to ensure all booking forms are completed in a timely manner and delivered accurately.
- Meeting visiting group leaders, to ensure they are happy with their students’ families and acting to resolve any issues raised.
- Monitoring and keeping a record of feedback from students regarding host families and acting on it where necessary.
- Keeping FL host family database up to date on Intrinsiq.
- Using Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs) on a daily basis
- Collaborating with YL Activities Coordinator on the creation of group schedules
- Issuing host family profiles prior to groups’ arrival. If not there to welcome the group ensure that the person meeting the leaders has the digital welcome pack.
- Be comfortable using digital tools for communication, collaboration and record keeping, including the use of our online school management system to consult bookings forms, update Host Family profiles and record student matching.
- Raising any potential or possible child protection issues with the FL Liaison Person.
- Regular and professional communication with group leaders when they are here with their students.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position.
- Skills: Strong technical skills (experience with Google Suite or similar), organised.
- Location: Must reliably commute to or plan to be based near location before the start date.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Ireland (EU citizenship or valid work/residency permit).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €29,430.00 per year
